To be or Not to be is the real question

{February 8, 2009}   Moving right along…

Well, so far, so good I say..

Monday… tomorrow.. I go in and discuss with my doctor what to do about the small, benign tumor on my ovary. But the thing is.. I am not worried.. I have expected this a long time and have been prepared for it a long time. This IS something I CAN and WILL survive through.. maybe not totally unscathed, but for my better health, we’ll do whatever is needed.

I need to give a special thanks to novelist Stephenie Meyer for her Twilight book series. I was honestly lost, sad, and totally and utterly depressed, and her books pulled me out of that deep wallow I had found myself in.. now I just wonder, “where in the HELL is MY Edward?” lol Only time can tell, but her series allowed me to escape the rough real-world reality that I found myself  wallowing in, besides making me feel better to know there are other klutzy people out there as well LOL ;)  As for the movie.. it is okay, but I would suggest anyone to simply skip it, and go pick up the book itself.. it is much better! And also thanks for making pale the new tan.. muahhaha

Oh dear. I hope you get the answers and treatment you need. How did it go?

Mirchi,
Thanks for the well wishes. I have something very weird and strange.. and rare, called a teratoma.. and it is totally freaky. I have to have surgery to have it removed within a couple of years, before it goes proliferation nuts, but until then, nothing too bad to worry about. I did get some good news today though :) My platelet counts have came down to a nearly normal range, meaning the iron supplements are working, but they have tore my stomach up so bad. I went back to my family doctor today, she’s sending me to a gastroenterologist. She’s afraid that the iron may have tore a hole in the lining of my stomach because no antacids at all are working to relieve the severe burning pain I get in it. It is keeping me very sick to my stomach, and meclizine is about the only thing keeping me on my feet at work and out of the ladies room from the nausea. She took me off of the iron until I can see the new doctor.. I had this problem once before about 2 years back, and she is thinking this may be the source of my iron depletion as well, if I have a GI/stomach bleed. She was very concerned that taking prilosec and pepcid over the counter wasn’t stopping the burn at all.. I am thinking.. well FINALLY.. a possible source of all the evil I have suffered LOL :)
